CONTRACTS
ARMY
Rosoboronexport FGUP, Moscow, Russia, was awarded a $171,380,636 firm-fixed-price contract. The award will provide for the modification of an existing contract to procure 10 additional Mi-17 helicopters. Work will be performed in Russia, with an estimated completion date of Dec. 31, 2016. One bid was solicited, with one bid received. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (W58RGZ-11-C-0072).
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc., Poway, Calif., was awarded a $19,073,406 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. The award will provide for the modification of an existing contract to procure contractor logistics support. Work will be performed in Poway, with an estimated completion date of July 15, 2013. One bid was solicited, with one bid received. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (W58RGZ-11-C-0001).
Rolls Royce, Indianapolis, Ind., was awarded a $14,647,304 firm-fixed-price contract. The award will provide for the modification of an existing contract to procure 28 engines. Work will be performed in Indianapolis, with an estimated completion date of Oct. 31, 2012. One bid was solicited, with one bid received. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (W58RGZ-09-D-0190).
Mascon Inc., Sacramento, Calif., was awarded a $14,614,900 firm-fixed-price contract. The award will provide for the construction of a new public safety center facility at Defense Depot Joaquin Complex at Tracy, Calif. Work will be performed in Tracy, with an estimated completion date of March 24, 2014. The bid was solicited through the Internet, with five bids received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento, Calif., is the contracting activity (W91238-12-C-0021).
Marine Terminals Corp., San Francisco, Calif., was awarded a $9,142,865 firm-fixed-price contract. The award will provide for the modification of an existing contract to procure stevedoring and related terminal services. Work will be performed in Concord, Calif., with an estimated completion date of Aug. 6, 2013. The bid was solicited through the Internet, with four bids received. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Alexandria, Va., is the contracting activity (W81GYE-09-D-0009).
Raytheon Company, Marlborough, Mass., was awarded a $7,209,568 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. The award will provide for the development services in support of new radars and air-traffic navigation systems. Work will be performed in Marlborough, with an estimated completion date of Sept. 30, 2014. The bid was solicited through the Internet, with one bid received. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (W31P4Q-11-C-0177).
NAVY
Huntington Ingalls Incorporated, Newport News, Va., is being awarded a $43,418,660 modification to a previously awarded contract (N00024-09-C-2116) for the procurement of additional long lead time material for the future John F. Kennedy (CVN 79). The contract will provide all services and material in preparation for construction of CVN 79. This includes necessary research studies; engineering; design; related development efforts; advanced planning; advanced procurement for detailed design and procurement of long lead material; advance construction; life cycle support; logistics data and other data to support the anticipated fiscal 2013 ship detail design and construction. Work will be performed in Newport News, Va., and is expected to be completed by October 2015. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington Navy Yard, Washington, D.C. is the contracting activity.
Stresau Laboratory Inc., Spooner, Wis., is being awarded a $28,521,306 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the MK 18 MOD 0 Electric Blasting Cap. This cap is used to initiate high explosives when a source of electricity such as a blasting machine or battery is available. Work will be performed in Spooner, Wis., and is expected to be completed by July 2017. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively awarded via the Federal Business Opportunities website, with one offer received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, Ind., is the contracting activity (N00164-12-D-JS88).
The Boeing Co., Seattle, Wash., is being awarded an $11,655,663 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-09-C-0022) for the Block 9.2 software upgrade of the Operational Flight Trainer, the Weapons Tactics Trainer, and the Part Task Trainer in support of the Low Rate Initial Production I, P-8A Multi-Mission Maritime aircraft. This modification also includes the procurement of a Mission System Desktop Trainer. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo., (85 percent), Seattle, Wash., (12 percent), and Anaheim, Calif., (3 percent), and is expected to be completed in May 2013. Contract funds in the amount of $9,897, 365 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air System Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
GE Aviation Systems L.L.C., Grand Rapids, Mich., is being awarded a $8,956,586 firm-fixed-price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for initial reference units, and associated transit cases, lab asset, test, teardown, evaluation and standard repair, major repairs, and engineering support in support of U.S. Marine Corps Ground Based Operation Surveillance Systems. Work will be performed in Grand Rapids, Mich., and is expected to be completed by July 2017. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via Federal Business Opportunities, with two offers received. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, Ind., is the contracting activity (N00164-12-D-JT40).
Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Herndon, Va., is being awarded an $8,033,930 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for provision of Data Link interoperability test tools and associated engineering services. Data Link test tools are used for simulation and interoperability test and analysis that will be utilized by Joint and Allied Agencies, U.S. Navy Data Link equipped platforms, and support facilities. The equipment and engineering services provided under this contract include proprietary single, joint and combined data link interoperability test tool equipment, components, and associated engineering services to include specialized configured equipment, components, spare parts, field engineering, specially tailored training, and equipment centric operational support. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $40,708,422. This contract combines purchases for the U.S. Navy (60 percent) and foreign customers yet to be identified (40 percent) under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and in various locations throughout the world as required by other U.S. services and FMS customers, and is expected to be completed by July 2013. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington Navy Yard, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00024-12-D-4201).
